Jey is a Chemical and Materials engineer, with expertise in Raw Materials for the apparel industry. He
graduated from the National Institute
of Technology, Tiruchirappalli with a B. Tech
in Chemical Engineering, and the University of Auckland, New Zealand
with a M.E in Chemical
& Materials Engineering. He has over 20 years of experience in the apparel
industry, specializing in the
development, testing, industrialization, and
production of Apparel. Throughout his career, he led Material teams in major retail brands such as
Target, Burberry, and Calvin Klein.
Furthermore, he has managed Denim
garment wet processing factories in three countries:
Indonesia, Guatemala, and the
United States. In total, he has lived in 7 different countries and has
a wealth of expertise in the supply
chain.
In late 2023,
Jey launched a new menswear brand, ben john,
prioritizing natural fibers.
His goal is to advance
manufacturing excellence through
the apparel supply chain, building
relationships between suppliers
and apparel brands.
He advocates an end-to-end approach,
to mitigate risks and elevate quality and sustainable
manufacturing through various levels of the Supply
chain.
